Dédale is a European agency dedicated to urban development, digital and social innovation.
It focuses mainly on innovation and new uses in the evolving fields of urban planning, technologies, culture, sustainable development and tourism.
At the leading edge of urban innovation, the agency favours a user-centered approach and undertakes project management assistance missions, studies and definition of territorial strategies, support for public policies, conception and definition of city programmes, mobile app and innovative digital services design, 360 marketing communication strategies, urban public consultation and citizen participation processes, innovative facilities conception and development, cultural and citizen event management and network animation.
Dédale places Cultural Policies at the center of its operations, considering them as an important vector for territorial development. Through its consulting and production activities, Dédale explores new ways for urban making, working in situ and in vivo on collaborative projects developed jointly with users and residents.
At the European level, Dédale is implicated in many research and innovation networks, projects and programmes (AthenaPlus, Linked Heritage, MOB, ECLECTIS, Artizen). Since 2004, Dédale is tasked by the French Culture and Communication Ministry to coordinate the French participation to the European projects of heritage digitization and valorisation.
Besides its consultancy and expertise activities, Dédale independently develops and produces its own projects:
In the frame of its D-Lab, Dédale assists and produces innovative projects: citizen and participatory projects, micro-urban planning, ephemeral architectures, multimedia projects, creations in public space, urban digital services and innovative devices for urban and heritage mediation.
Dédale is funded by the European Commission, the French Culture and Communication Ministry, the Région Île-de-France and Paris City Council.
